{continued from last night's post...}
On we headed to Cann River, at the junction of the highways to Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney. Grandma came from Indonesia via Canberra - so I'd say she received a shock to the system with Gippsland Autumns being quite unlike the Indonesian one she had just left! The travelling Woodleys were all very excited to see her; and we all set at once to enjoy our company and the (mainly) splendid (even if somewhat chilly) autumn days together...
...after various exploring rambles beside and over the river and into the little township we ventured further afield to Point Hicks Lighthouse down an (unforeseen) offroad-verging-on-four-wheel-drive track that was not very kind to Grandma's rental car! However, numberless corrugations later we arrived, not quite at the lighthouse, but at a empty beach made just for little Woodleys to explore...
...wandering around autumn-leaf-coloured Cann River itself we managed to visit three different Cafes, one of which had mouth-watering displays of handmade lolly dolls' houses...
...and a week would not be complete without at least two or three playground visits, and discoveries of some kind or another...
...then after Grandma left us bereft(!); one last walk through the nearby woods next to the river, and finally packing up once more to head to our fourth state - New South Wales...
{P.S. this photo and the photo of Grandma with her sunnies on earlier in this blog post were taken by Levente; or as we like to call her 'Little Miss Technology'}
