The travelling Woodleys were at Sussex Inlet near the end of May... and enjoying this simple little caravan park in a warm sunny south coast NSW autumn...
...exploring the path from the loo block to our spot...
...looking out on 'our' little inlet over the road...
...and intrigued by the power option we are provided with -
all good, though! - worked a treat...
...taking advantage of a grassy, leafy area just in front of our site for riding, climbing, and perfecting walking skills...
(unusual wildlife!)
...peaceful birdlife, calm waters, visits to old Christian Surfer friends Mr and Mrs Tasker and kids; as well as new friends Mr and Mrs Patch and kids (who we will be catching up with in a week's time in Cairns! yay!), boats that haven't been in use for a long while, and sunlight through the warm-spectrum leaves...
...and don't you agree, world wide web, that this is the perfect place for a dusk fishing foray in the humble vessel?...
...which was good practice for ferrying the kids up and down and fifty metres across to the playground...
...enjoyed as always by all and sundry (and so sensible of Israel to leave his helmet on when sharing the slide is part of the fun)...
...and, once again, an amazingly beautifully
sunlit waterway on our last morning...
...time to wake up and great 'Go Day' with a smile...
...and so heading further north (although still not even halfway up our country's coast) the travelling Woodleys pass through one of our favourite areas - Shoalhaven Heads, Gerrigong, Kiama - and to my cousin Mrs Warth's place in Woonona (remembering our childhood memories of catching up every school holidays, and reliving them through the next generation)...
...where a favourite kid's activity was creating an entire chalk-drawn town on the front cemented driveway with the neighbouring children, then proceeding to ride all around and over it for hours...
...a visit to a lego exhibition was very busy but
interesting nonetheless...
interesting nonetheless...
...while second cousins preferred playing
outside and in a creek...
outside and in a creek...
...various neighbourhood walks were enjoyed, and even venturing up Rixon's Pass in addition to more swimming
(although the water was still close to freezing!)
and exploring the old and even older sea baths...

(oh - and Nick did get a surf or two)
(just for you, Grandpa)
...a once-off special outing to see the Swans versus Hawthorn in Sydney for the boys (gotta make sure that you show who you're barracking for)...
...sharing a room between six of us (two king single beds, one small mattress and a portacot taking up all available floor space) proved to be an interesting experience...
...and someone knows what you need to do when you see a camera (check out that 'photo face' - that's what we get unless we catch him unaware)...
...an afternoon drive out for Renee past headlands and rundown abandoned hotels on prime real estate; followed by an op shop stop or three and a coffee...
...along with all the family having the privilege of a visit with the lovely Mrs Davis and two of her equally lovely children...

...and here's Issy and the height that Daddy will swing him
on a twilight park visit before a
Warth family dinner including Aunt Egan...

...second cousins looking gorgeous...
...and long-lost first cousins enjoyed a
week catching up on the last ten years...
(P.S. this week we're speading time with Mrs Warth's
little sister Mrs Baker and family in Townsville)...

Wow! What stunning photos of exciting times. A great record. You certainly are seeing Gods creation in a unique way. May HE protect and guide you as you continue on your pilgrimage around this great land.

You got some great photos Renee. I can't believe how scruffy Nick is getting.... You must be sick of going bush wacking for a little kiss!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat poor spare room of ours LOOKS packed to the rafters - I think it misses you (it gets awfully lonely except for Akili's visits!)
Continue your safe travels and kisses all round for my sister, BIL, nephews, your kids, Nick and of course - You - Beautiful.
God Bless xx
